Some Chelsea fans on Twitter praised Chelsea and Italian midfielder Jorginho following his match-winning penalty in the penalty shoot-out against Spain last night.
Italy has gone from strength to strength in the European Championship but had a tough semi-final against La Roja at Wembley Stadium.
They managed just 29 percent of possession during 120 minutes. Federico Chiesa opened the scoring with a sublime curling effort just before the hour mark.
The Azzurri were unable to hold on to the lead with Álvaro Morata coming off the bench to equalize for Spain in the 80th minute.
Gianluigi Donnaruma was in good shape in Italy’s goal with some crucial saves in regulation time, and he also denied Morata on penalties.
However, the Blues fans were largely focused on the performances of Jorginho and Emerson. Many praised the former’s composure for the final penalty.
Jorginho has been known for his hop and skip penalty technique, but he did miss a couple of spot kicks for club and country last season doing the same.
He still came up with the same routine and converted the match-winning penalty by calming sliding the ball towards the right side of Unai Simon’s net
Here are a few reactions on Twitter from Chelsea faithful who were delighted with his performance.

ICE COLD JORGINHO! CLASS PLAYER.
The €40m rated star was in top form for the Blues in the final part of last season with some incredible displays in their Champions League campaign.
He has brought the form to the national team and has been a solid performer for the Azzurri, who are looking to win the Euro for the first time since 1964.
Jorginho has been tipped to depart stamford bridge this summer, but that looks unlikely with Chelsea hierarchy set to initiate a new deal that will see him stay beyond his current contract set to expire June 2023.
